Wellington Rugby Limited Communications Manager Vacancy

Wellington Rugby Limited is currently seeking an experienced Communications Manager to be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of leading edge communication policies that will allow the organisation to communicate its external messages to the highest standard. This is a newly-created senior role, reporting directly to the CEO and forming an integral part of the Senior Management Team. The successful applicant will develop a proactive communications strategy, consistent with WRFU’s vision, business priorities and `value`s and will provide communications counsel to the WRFU Board, Hurricanes Board and Senior Management Team. In addition, the Communications Manager will oversee the development and delivery of public submissions and be responsible for establishing strong relationships with the public relations departments of partner organisations, eg: Wellington City Council, government departments and Wellington Rugby sponsors. A key aspect of this role is to act as the first point of contact for all national and international media enquiries regarding Wellington Rugby, the Vodafone Wellington Lions and the Hurricanes.
