This year, the Vodafone Wellington Lions will collaborate frequently with Volunteer Wellington to further interact with the Wellington community. Players, coaches and training personnel will spend time this season searching for, and completing, a number of different community projects, effectively working towards making a difference.

Keep Porirua Beautiful

Keep Porirua Beautiful (KPB) is a fantastic organisation aimed at preserving the natural beauty of their community. By facilitating frequent cleaning and planting sessions, KPB helps to maintain and enhance Porirua’s environment. Amongst other projects, the KPB provides a framework of activities on New Zealand’s national Arbor Day, annually challenges local neighborhoods and schools to keep clean by hosting the Tidiest Street and Tidiest School competitions, and strongly participate in Clean-Up NZ Week.
